Our goal is to offer computer technologies for persons with special needs so that they can overcome some or all of their restrictions in daily life. The ICT Accessibility Lab's mission is the research and application of information and communication technologies for older persons and persons with disabilities. We focus not only on classic issues of accessibility and usability, but also on contextual framework.
Our research focuses on technological and non-technological issues in the area of accessibility and usability.
We identify the special needs of our target audience by way of focus groups and interviews. We examine technological and non-technological issues in the process.
Our interactive courses are project and group-based. They offer students the chance to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. In order to demonstrate the practical aspects on a personal basis, we invite persons with special needs to our classes and visit companies and research institutes.
